Vintage Hickory Ski Poles All Original Leather Antique Ski Poles:Antique Hickory Ski Poles Very good conditionAntique Hickory Ski Poles with Original Leather and Rattan Baskets c. 1920s 30s, 20th Century Wood, leather, metal, cloth 40" tall, 5 baskets Vintage Winter Hickory downhill ski poles with original leather and rattan baskets (5") in very good condition. Single poles were used until about 1910 and made of a hardwood (hickory, willow, oak, etc.) to be sturdy and strong push sticks. In the 1920s, bamboo shafts became popular because they were lighter
