Abundant in ancient deposits but rarer in newer formations, Dolomite continues to puzzle geologists. This specimen is a 3. 305" piece of Dolomite from Duck Creek, a part of Western Australia's Ashburton Basin, dating to 1. 8 billion years ago. It shows evidence of a stromatolite fossil, a prehistoric
