Lanson, Clos Lanson other_regions_italy and their younger brother Giovanni

and their younger brother Giovanni set to follow in their footsteps

It feels as if it underwent a warmer or longer maceration than its peers

focused and very long

As the description suggests the balance isn’t perfect but there is so much underlying material that my score offers the benefit of the doubt that this will better harmonize with a few years of bottle age

Lanson, Clos Lanson other_regions_italy and their younger brother GiovanniThe 2009 Brut Blanc de Blancs Clos Lanson is showing beautifully, mingling aromas of pear, green apple and citrus oil with hints of fresh pastry, sourdough and nutmeg. Full bodied, layered and multidimensional, it's deep and incisive, with lovely tension and chalky back end grip, concluding with a long and penetrating finish. 2009 marks the third vintage of biodynamic farming for this small, one hectare vineyard.
