Very deep purple-black
intense and impeccably well-balanced finish
This vintage represents the 20th anniversary of this wine (the first vintage produced was 1992) although this special single-vineyard has been in family hands since 1435 (you read that correctly)
A brooding and reticent nose only grudgingly displays notes of spice
Fontaine Gagnard, Chassagne Montrachet Vintage:2019 Very deep purple-blackThis is also relatively fruity and if not especially elegant, its expressive and nicely complex and this depth continues onto the punchy and tangy middle weight flavors that possess good persistence and finishing pop. This is presently structured but it feels like this will come around relatively quickly. 88 2009+
