Patrick Javillier, Meursault Clousot Brut Zero Red-ruby color

Red-ruby color

with a long lingering aftertaste

the 2008 Valpolicella Superiore is fabulous in this vintage

with silky layers of fruit that emerge gracefully from its mid-weight frame

Patrick Javillier, Meursault Clousot Brut Zero Red-ruby color(the name is a play on words as this is a . 60 ha blend of two vineyards, Les Clous and Crotots). Here too the wood influence is discreet and easily allows the ripe and airy aromas of apple, pear, olive oil and citrus elements to shine. There is excellent punch and an almost pungent minerality on the youthfully austere and firm finish that exhibits lovely balance. This is a bigger but not finer wine than the Tillets and is also lovely.
