Civil War Federal Issue Enlistedmans Waist Belt with Model 1839 Belt Buckle. The Belt shows obvious signs of honest wear, and age from decades in storage. The belt is constructed of two inch wide bridle leather, and has had one end trimmed off. Likely this was done by the soldier as this was the earlier model belt which had an integrally sewn loop (which resulted in Belt Buckles being lost, as the soldier had to
