This is a lovely painted ovular portrait of Lieutenant Paul Cairnes Hunter, 304th Stevedore Regiment, QMC. The back of the frame notes that the portrait was painted by a German POW. The portrait is signed and dated in the corner, Olipps Frk. 1919, likely the rank and name of the German Prisoner of War who painted it. The frame measures 8 x 13 and is in great shape.
