U.S. Original WWII Thompson SMG M1928 Milled Ejector 18th Century In the summer of 1941Original Item: The original Colt manufactured Thompsons and the earliest of the Savage production M1928 models were equipped with an ejector milled out of a single piece of steel. This was quickly replaced by a three piece ejector, because the milled version was much too expensive and time consuming to manufacture. IMA has a small number of these ejectors; most Thompson enthusiasts never have an opportunity to see one, much less own one.
