Sold in uncleaned condition just as we found them in Nepal after 150 years of storage

most were the 1858 model type and manufactured in Richmond Virginia

It had a folding butt stock and had a swiveling carrying handle on the ventilated barrel jacket

The wooden grips are installed over two hollow steel tubes designed to function as oil and solvent bottles. The bottles are closed and externally threaded at the bottom to screw into the lower grip support. The lower end is provided with two recesses for a spanner wrench if removal is necessary. The upper end is threaded internally to accept a cap.
