This is one of the very few Brown Bess Muskets that came to us out of Nepal to have retained the complete original wood stock. Originally an East India Company Musket of about 1808 this was gifted, as military aid, to Nepal after the Treaty of Seguli in 1816 when Nepal came fully under British influence.
