This lovely stitched leather water bucket belonged to the Enoch Wheeler & Co. Company, which was likely an insurance company in Union, New Jersey. It was common for insurance companies to paint their information on these buckets which would have been used to put out fires in buildings insured by the company. We couldnt find much in our research on Enoch Wheeler, but could find two men with similar names in a Union Fire
