This is a WW2 Imperial Japanese silk flag that measures 40 x 28 inches. It was captured by a USGI in the 77th Infantry Division then hand painted in the Pacific Theatre of Operations by a Japanese local. The flag documents the movement of the 77th Infantry Division who first saw action at GUAM. The quality of the hand painting is excellent, clear done by a skilled artist, certainly a local Japanese artist paid by U. S.
