This is a very nice example of a rare German WWII Diplomatisches Korps Staatsbeamte (Diplomatic Corps State officials) belt buckle, constructed from die stamped nickel alloy, which looks to possibly be gold washed. We usually see these on brocade dress type belts, but this one has been installed on a black patent leather belt, which it is stitched directly to, and has been for a very long time. This is one of the few
