Now this is a fantastic Battlefield Relic from the US Civil War. This 26 long scabbard section was ground dug at the East Cavalry Field in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The scabbard is marked with old collector labels that states the scabbard was used on either the Starr Saber or the M1796 Cavalry Saber, both of which were used by the Confederate Army and both used nearly identical scabbards. The scabbard is in relic
