Here we have a most impressive half stocked German style Jger Percussion Rifle, very possibly made in the U. S. just before the Civil War. It features a very interesting Dog Catch safety on the hammer. It is elegantly brass mounted, with brass trim around the lock plate, and a side plate that covers the entire left side of the stock. The stock is lovely, with checkering around the wrist, though it is missing a long
