Just purchased at a large military show in the Eastern United States, this is a large Cow Horn Powder Flask, measuring 15 inches in overall length. While possibly intended for a musket or other small arms, this size would almost always be used for cannon priming. The end of the horn is fitted with a rounded wooden bottom plug, which has a small brass loop on it now, but most likely originally had a much larger loop for
